Did I reflect on any particular Scripture or aspect of God’s character while in the studio this week?
I’ve been thinking a lot about how thankful I am that God chooses to use weak, broken vessels like me to carry out His story of redemption.
What did I make?
Lots of funky flower collage cards. They challenged me with how many design choices I had to make, and with sharing stuff with other people. 😬 I want to try to make a few of those a month so I have a stockpile to pull from when I want to send something to people.
What art-related books, podcasts, or videos did I consume, and what was one takeaway?
Still hanging out with Matisse. It’s encouraging to see how long and hard he struggled to become the Matisse we think of today. Everything takes longer than we think it will/ should! So important to remember… I have to be patient and persevere!
What was my “art outing”? How did it go?
I made a point to carry my sketchbooks on walks. Made a couple of quick line drawings as we were out and about.
What do I want to work on this coming week?
Consistency. I’ve got to persevere and focus on steady progress… and remember that it’s always going to take longer than I think! Didn’t get to what I wanted to work on last week, so I’m planning to do it this week.

Thursday - Draw (maybe at coffee shop while I wait for Scout to get groomed?)
Friday - Paint play
